"Hey guys, what do you think of my triple decker wing?" will be met with "wow, that looks like ass" comments. Usually followed by "wow, what an asshole you are for being such a meany poopy-head". Yesterday, I became the focus of a major pissy-fit because I had the nerve to speak ill of streetneeds. God forbid I was actually telling the truth. a. they logo the pics, inferring ownership of the images.
b. they are blocked by many firewalls due to porn content. These are UNDENIABLE facts. For those two reasons alone, I recommended photodump.org instead. Lets examine this closely. In no way did I mention Wagz' motivation for having SN. Nor did I mention him making or losing any money by running it. I pointed out the shortcomings of the host and offered an alternative. Tissan felt the need to bring up how Wagz loses money on the forum, and how everyone should be grateful for it being there. I differ in my belief of him losing money, and god forbid I do that. If I'm wrong about that, fine, I apologize for making that accusation. Frankly, I've not used SN. The only pics of mine that are there are those that have been put up by other people. I own no SN lanyards, stickers, hats, etc. I have no reason to be "grateful for streetneeds". Yet I am an "ungrateful bastard". Right. /drama The stupidity on the forum never ceases to amaze me. There is a huge cross section of people here, but the demographic is becoming younger and younger. People like to talk about the "good old days" and how much better they were when everyone got along. What they fail to realize is that if soem 16 year old kid (and you 16 y/o kids, don't bitch at me because I am using you as an example) came on the forum in 1999 and asked what kind of neon he should get for his car, he'd have been laughed off the forum. The bottom line is that there are simply far more of the stupid shit done on a daily basis than there was back then, and so the backlash against it is far more apparent. Every person's right to dislike a car is just as viable as everyone's right to like one. If some kid puts a hideous kit on a car, I may say "that looks like ass", but I'm not going to physically go over there and rip the thing off his car and make him get an aspec fascia. It's the internet. There are varying opinions. Deal with it. That being said, Spee is still an asshole. :)
